Android phone as MRT/LRT Beep Card
Android Phone as MRT/LRT Beep Card? Is it possible? YES it is. NFC enabled smartphone can be used as beep cards not only for MRT/LRT but also access card for NFC sensor installed entrance like hotels, office. etc.
I was thinking about this as well that'd be really convenient. And also phone as beep card i'd feel more comfortable loading it with higher value than regular card as it's easy to misplace.
Because of curiosity and being techy. i discovered what was the function of NFC on mobile phones and how to use it. So now i'm going to share to you what i've discovered.
Here's a simple tutorial for you!
WHAT YOU NEED: 1. Android Phone with NFC mode (must be ROOTED), tutorials for phone root is available in many websites.
2. NFC emulated apps (can be download at Google Playstore). Here's the link NFC emulator free download
3. Card you want to scan (MRT/LRT Beepcard, company access card).
FOLLOW INSTRUCTION BELOW:
1. Install NFC emulator apps.
2. On/enable NFC mode on your phone.
3. Open the NFC emulator apps.
4. Next, place the card at the back of your phone.
5. Once scanned, access number will appear, then rename it whatever you want (Ex. My MRT beepcard, Office ID) and SAVE it.
6. Now, you must SIMULATE the saved access number. and that's it, TAP your phone to any entrance where you have scanned card.
NOTE: This image is my card emulator. You can add/save multiple cards but you must SIMULATE first the card you want to use before tapping to access controlled entrance.
Warning! DO NOT use this for stealing identity.

Thank you! - Mark
What if kelangan mo ireload yung beep card mo? Should i give my phone to the cashier?
ReplyDeletebakit kylangan rooted ung phone....?
ReplyDelete"Your phone needs to be rooted. (Why does NFC Card Emulator require root privileges? Because to simulate a card, the NFC Card Emulator needs to write the Card-ID to the NFC configuration file on your phone, which requires root privileges.)"
